Last weekend, we took a break from wedding flowers and left Lincoln to visit the beautiful city of Bath. We stayed at The Pig Hotel near Bath which is a beautiful country house tucked into the folds of the Mendip Hills.
We love visiting new places, especially when they have such wonderful gardens to take inspiration from. We loved the display in the middle of the turning circle outside the hotel - the white lavender is so lovely and the rusty sculpture of the artichokes works so well against the freshly flowering artichokes.
The walled garden is also a must-see at The Pig. It is mostly a kitchen garden but there were some flowers there too including some beautiful cornflowers and plenty more lavender.
We also enjoyed seeing the rosemary growing up the wall. Ours is trailing over the walkway and so we've decided to train it up the wall after seeing it working so well.
We had a brilliant stay at The Pig with gorgeous rooms, friendly staff and of course, the most lovely gardens.
